*Foothills films are any films made in or by filmmakers from the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31. If you are unsure if your film qualifies email .

All film submissions include one entry to any one workshop during the Festival (a $10 value). Film makers with films chosen to be screened at the Festival will receive free entry to all workshops, screenings and galas during the Festival.

Submission Guidelines

Short Films

Films in any genre shorter than 45 minutes in length and completed after Jan 1, 2010. Narrative, Documentary, art films, music videos, and any other film creation within the above guidelines will be considered.

Horror and Experimental Short Films

Films in the horror or strange experimental genre, possibly containing content not suitable for younger audiences, shorter than 45 minutes in length and completed after Jan 1, 2010. No Pornographic or Illegal content will be tolerated by the festival.

Children’s Short Films

Films shorter than 45 minutes in length completed after Jan 1, 2010 with content specifically created for younger audiences.

Feature Films

Films in any genre between 60 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes in length, completed after Jan 1, 2010. Narrative, Documentary, art films, and any other film creation within the above guidelines will be considered.

Best Art Direction
Best Overall Sound

Audience Choice - $1000
Best Editing
Best Screenplay
Best Animation

The winner of the Best Picture category will also receive an InkTip Script Listing to promote themselves and their scripts to InkTip’s entire network of producers, managers, and agents.
