Chris Friesen is a filmmaker living in Okotoks, Alberta. He has been making short films for nearly ten years. Chris is entirely self-taught through books, tutorials, and online classes. While he wears almost every hat in making his short films (director, lighting, camera, sound, writing, acting), his skill in AfterEffects and green screen techniques really makes him stand out. Chris works as the head of graphics and media for a corporation in Calgary, and produces the majority of their video and print media. He is an avid supporter of hands-on self-directed learning and is always happy to help new filmmakers develop their skill sets. You can find Chris's work at shotlistfilms.com. Topics for this workshop will include lighting and screen tips and tricks, the importance of storyboarding, keying with Adobe After Effects, compositing and color grading tips, adding camera moves in post, and it will also include a few free assets for attendees!
