Resources for Your Films

Original work is always preferred in your film submissions, but for one reason or another sometimes that's just not feasible. So here's a list of links to resource sites that you might find useful. Just make sure you double-check the guidelines for the event you're submitting your film to, since the rules vary regarding the type of resources you can use. And always read the terms of use on resource sites, remembering that they are subject to change.

Generally speaking, we allow royalty-free resources to be used in all film submissions (the 48 Hour Challenge prohibits stock footage though).

Paid resources are also acceptable in ZOOOM Youth Festival submissions, provided you have aquired the rights to use them (typically by purchasing a license from the site; again, make sure you read their terms of use).
